The flow of commodities from earth to assembly line to land fill is the basis of, and is represented by, the circulation and accumulation of a very abstract form of wealth, which is money.
Capitalism is a social relation, whereby one economic class, a small minority, dominates all others. They are called the capitalist class, or the bourgeoisie. Capitalism includes (but is more than) an economic process—the endless flow of money to commodity production for the generation of more money.
But it’s not linear; it’s both cyclical and progressive, like a spiral.
